Dear Cherane,
snip.........snip....
With the change of food, Indi is gaining a bit of weight, relative to his increasing size. Nonetheless,
he lacks fat, and therefore stays muscular and lean.
I still do not understand why or how bird people
rate birds by weight, as I'd rather have a well exercised, powerful, and muscular bird, lean and
trim, of good size.
Size, the meaningful factor of growth, is not a
worry with Indi, as he is gaining an Eighth of an
inch, in length and a Sixteenth of an inch in
breadth, every month. Thus, now, at 1400 grams,
he is still a trim and sleek, HEALTHY macaw.
Indigo has, with thanks to the Lord, and to his breeder, never had a sick moment in his young life.
Can you imagine if we rated the well being of
humans by their weight. Accordingly, an obese
human would be considered real healthy, when
indeed these humans, due to obesity, engage the
risks of fatal illnesses.
What is doing in Florida, except making a political
mess for the country? How is your family of
feathered kin? What are you raising at the present time?
I know, having heard, on a few occasions, from
Carmen, that she is in love with her latest family member. You just raise em right.
Loving wishes from Indigo & Richard
